CBT Bokonbaeva Gulmira S

Location and atmosphere
Gulmera is a well known cook in Bokonbaev city and additionaly takes care of her guests in the home stay. Her husband, now a pensioner, supports her in that. Her 3 children have moved out and went to Bishkek for work, but regulary return, especially for family events. Being a cook, all of the meals she prepares are homemade and she mainly uses her own products from the garden and animals. The warm water of this house is retrieved from a solarsystem installed on the roof of the house.
Facillities
The accomodation offers room for 19 people. 5 rooms are situated outsite but above that there are also 2 yurts in the garden. A common dining area is available inside and outside of the accomodation. Washing facilities are also situated inside and outside, close to the Yurts.
Surroundings and activities
The guest house is located at the South Shore of Issyk Kul Lake. With the mountains in the South, there are possibilities to do trekking and horseback riding into green valleys. Swimming possibilities are available at the beach of Issyk Kul. Local women offer handicraft & cooking workshops. Activities in the surrounding area such as trekking, horse-riding and handicraft workshops can be booked at the local CBT office.
