CBT Kochkor Kayirbubu

Location and atmosphere
While Kayirbubus son and his wife are busy working, she and her 3 grandchildren welcome tourists during the summer season - and the school summer holidays. In her spacious backyard, Kayirbubu shares her passion in felt making. The master provides regular felt making classes to curious tourist, and is often supported by her oldest granddaughter.
Kayirbubu can accommodate up to 8 people in 4 rooms. A yurt in the backyard offers the perfect place for a traditional Kyrgyz dinner or just for relaxing. Her felt show takes place in a specialy designed area, safe from rain and wind. Another dining room is available inside along with washing facilities and a toilett.
Surroundings and activities
Kochkor is the transit point towards one of the pearls of Kyrgyzstan, the summer pasture of shepherds at Son Kul Lake (100km). Another option, for the adventurous people is Kol-Ukok Lake, just two hours north of Kochkor. While staying in Kochkor, there are several opportunities to participate in felt workshops and cooking classes with one of the local masters.
